The Blues paid just over £30m for the Senegalese
Chelsea officially signed striker Villarreal Nicolas Jackson. The Senegal international has signed an eight-year contract with the Blues.
According to information Sky SportsChelsea paid Villarreal just over £30m for Jackson’s transfer.
Jackson made 38 appearances for Villarreal in all competitions last season. The 22-year-old striker has 13 goals and 5 assists.
Jackson became Chelsea’s second summer signing after RB Leipzig striker Christopher Nkunku. The transfer of the Frenchman cost the Blues 60 million euros.
Chelsea have already sold goalkeeper Edouard Mendy to Saudi Al Ahli, defender Kalidou Koulibaly to Al Hilal, midfielder Mateo Kovacic to Manchester City, midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek to Milan and forward Kai Havertz to Arsenal over the summer. Defender Ngolo Kante has joined Al Ittihad on a free transfer.
Chelsea finished twelfth in the last edition of the English Premier League. Mauricio Pochettino will be the head coach of Mikhail Mudrik’s team in the new season.
