Former Russian national team striker Ruslan Pimenov believes that the newcomer “Zenith” Alexander Kovalenko he will definitely improve his skills by working side by side with such masters as the players of the St. Petersburg team.
On Friday, Zenit announced the transfer of Kovalenko from Sochi. The contract with the 19-year-old footballer runs until 2028.
– Being in the same team with masters like Zenit players is a big plus for Kovalenko. By training with them, he will definitely improve his skills,” Pimenov told a correspondent.
Last season, Kovalenko played for Krylya Sovetov on loan. The midfielder made 30 appearances for the Samara club, during which he scored two goals and provided three assists.
