Transfer amount – 70 million euros
Liverpool announced the signing of a contract with the midfielder RB Leipzig Dominic Soboslai. The English club did not specify the details of the transfer.
Liverpool were reported to have activated the €70 million Soboslai clause. The contract of the captain of the Hungarian national team with the Reds runs until the summer of 2028.
Soboslai, 22, made 46 appearances for Leipzig in all competitions last season, scoring 10 goals and providing 13 assists.
Soboslai became Liverpool’s second summer signing. In early June, the English giant signed Brighton midfielder Alexis McAllister.
Leipzig have previously signed midfielder Fabio Carvalho on loan from Liverpool. According to the terms of the contract, the Bulls did not receive the right to buy the player in the future.
Liverpool finished fifth in the Premier League and will play in the Europa League. Leipzig finished third in the Bundesliga.
