Spurs set to sign Shakhtar winger as a free agent
Midfielder Miner’s Manor Solomon And Tottenham reached a verbal transfer agreement. The Israeli national team player agreed on the terms of the contract and will undergo a medical examination next week.
Solomon will join Tottenham on a free transfer. FIFA allowed Manor to leave Shakhtar for free this summer due to the war in Ukraine. The player’s contract with the Ukrainian club is valid until December 31, 2023.
Earlier, Shakhtar CEO Serhiy Palkin appealed to clubs that intend to sign Donetsk team players for free. The functionary noted that the Pitmen are ready to fight for their players in court.
In the 2022/23 season, Solomon played on loan for Fulham. Manor scored five goals in 24 matches for Dachnikov.
Recall that Shakhtar and Tottenham will hold a charity match in support of the people of Ukraine. The fight will take place on Sunday, August 6 at the Spurs’ home stadium in London.
Tottenham ended the season in eighth place in the Premier League. In June, Angelos Postekoglou became Spurs’ new coach.
Shakhtar became the champion of Ukraine-2022/23. In the summer, the head coach Igor Jovicevich left the team.
