On Thursday, BET NN announced the appointment of Galaktionov as the team’s head coach. The contract with the 38-year-old coach is for two years. The Russian Football Union (RFU) has agreed with Galaktionov, who is also the head coach of the Russian youth team, about the possibility of combining national team and club work.

– Our victories in the European arena were won thanks to a certain style of play. We want to instill it in Nizhny Novgorod as well. Yes, the RPL is a strong league. But the European level is even more difficult. And we will not deviate from our principles. We have certain requirements that we want to apply when working with the team. The most important thing is the incredible dedication of the players, so that there are no indifferent players, so that the players fight on every part of the football field”, quotes Galaktionov on the Pari NN site.

– You have already had the first training sessions with the team. What are the impressions?

– It is very nice that the guys correctly perceive our requirements for the intensity of the training process, for certain tasks. We immediately immersed ourselves in the work, but it is impossible to draw overall conclusions from the first trainings. We expect painstaking work, which will certainly bear fruit.

Reconcile national team and club work? The team continues to function as a single mechanism. And in the current situation, combining national team and club work is a solvable problem. Moreover, in the RPL, all the candidates for the national team are in sight. So in our team we saw a number of promising guys who can be asked for in the Russian youth team, the coach said.
