The agreement is for three years
Strasbourg announced the appointment Patrick Vieira as head coach of the team. The French specialist signed a three-year contract with the Ligue 1 club.
Vieira has been out of work since March, when he was sacked by Crystal Palace due to poor results. Previously, he led the youth team of Manchester City, New York City and Nice.
As head coach of Strasbourg, Vieira replaced Frederic Antonetti, under whose leadership the team took 15th place in Ligue 1 and retained its place in the elite division.
In August, 47-year-old Vieira will play in the Game4Ukraine charity match in support of Ukraine, which will be held in London at the Chelsea Stamford Bridge club stadium.
In the first round of the new Ligue 1 draw, Strasbourg will play with Lyon. The base date for the fight is August 13th. Ukrainian left-back Eduard Sobol plays for Strasbourg.
