Italian specialist Carlo Anchelotti takes over as coach Brazil before the start of the America’s Cup in June 2024.
This was said by the president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) Ednaldo Rodriguez during the presentation of the interim head coach Fernando Diniz, with whom a one-year contract was signed. Aged 49, he is the current coach of Fluminense.
There are a lot of good coaches in Brazil, and Diniz is one of them. He has always followed the same method in his work, and I really like his style and his tactical ideas.
So he’s a coach whose style of play is very similar to the style of the coach who will lead the America’s Cup team – that’s Ancelotti, – Rodriguez said.
Ancelotti, 64, is currently in charge of Real Madrid. His current contract with the Madrid club expires next year.
