The semi-finals of the youth European Championship 2023 between Ukraine and Spain will be held today, July 5
Defender Ukrainian national team U-21 Maxim Taloverov commented on the upcoming semi-final of the European Youth Championship 2023 with the Spanish national team.
“We don’t want to surprise anyone. We have a team style of play and everyone knows about it. Although Spain played 120 minutes in the quarter-finals and we played 90, I think we are on the same footing.”
“This is a decisive game, a very important match. We believe in God and hope to win. A very difficult opponent, but we believe in ourselves and want to win for the whole of Ukraine.”
In the quarterfinals, the Ukrainian U-21 team beat their peers from France (3:1). Ruslan Rotan’s team won a ticket to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris as one of the three best teams of the 2023 European Youth Championship.
The duel with the Spanish national team will take place on July 5 in Bucharest. The meeting starts at 22:00.
