Former President of Spartak Andrei Chervichenko commenting for “” on the possible transfer of the midfielder “Cadiz” Theo Bongonda at the Moscow club, suggested that the management could control the budget.
Earlier, Portal Cadis reported that Cadiz and Spartak have agreed on Bongond’s transfer. It is alleged that the deal will cost the Reds and Whites €7m with another €3m set to be paid out in bonuses.
– A saying immediately came to mind: “a miller is not a mammoth, he will not die”. What dances with tambourines around this newcomer for more than a week! I went to see his career. All his adult life, he traveled between Belgium and Spain. And no one gave more than three million for it. As far as I can tell, it has some qualities, but it’s not something that sells for full price.
Bongonda is a decent aged man, nowhere flashed. To buy it for that kind of money, taking bonuses into account, costs almost three times more than it actually costs. Here the question is what is going on in the club. Maybe control the budget. Maybe they want to enrich Abascal and Ashworth. I don’t know. Everyone has fun with his money as he wants.
Belgians and Spaniards jostled for this bongonda, its price constantly hovered around a three-ruble note. I think this is the maximum – for which they dreamed of selling it. But then guys from the north appeared, Chervichenko told .
Bongonda has been playing for Cadiz since 2022, his contract with the Spanish club runs until the summer of 2026.
The 27-year-old Belgian has made 32 appearances for Cadiz in all competitions this season, scoring four goals and providing three assists.
