Ignatenko: Bordeaux is going to buy out my contract

The coach of Zhirondintsev wants to see a Ukrainian in the team in the new season

Midfielder Miner Daniil Ignatenkowho played on loan for Bordeauxtold about his future. The Ukrainian noted that the French club intends to buy out his contract.

“Now I am in France. The question is being decided about my future career, whether I will play for Bordeaux or not. The French are going to buy out my contract. The issue is being resolved, some specifics will come later,” Ignatenko said.

“There are several other options. This is not France – other European countries. But while the Bordeaux issue is being resolved, it makes no sense to talk about them.”

“What to hide, I would like to stay and play in the top league. This is my dream. Here you are constantly in sight. You are being watched by agents of many other clubs. But I’m just on loan, I have a valid contract with Shakhtar.”

“What is happening in Bordeaux now? I know that half of the players were removed. From the composition that spent the spring part of the season, only 8-9 people remained. They say they will build a new team. The coach stayed and he would like to see me in the team.”

In the second part of the season in the French Championship, 25-year-old Ignatenko played 11 matches for Bordeaux, scoring three assists.

Bordeaux finished bottom of the Ligue 1 standings and were relegated to the French second division. However, due to financial problems, the club can be sent to the third division.
