After making Galtier’s departure official, PSG did not open gaps in the ball market and announced the signing of Luis Enrique; see details
Luis Enrique is the new coach PSG for the 2023/24 season. The club announced its arrival this Wednesday, the 5th, after confirming the departure of Christophe Galtier. The Spaniard arrives with the mission of rebuilding a winning team in France and will find Neymarwith whom he was very successful at the time when he won everything possible for the barcelona. The coach is expected to do a great job in Paris. Contract will be valid until mid-2025.
PSG’s new coach had been out of work since the World Cup, when he was sacked after Spain’s elimination to Morocco. Luis Enrique has been linked with several European giants, mainly in the Premier League, but opted to sign with Paris Saint-Germain. The main mission of the Parisian commander will be to put together a winning team that can achieve great results within the national territory and also abroad.

The biggest goal in Luis Enrique’s work will be the Champions League. No coach has managed to reach the top of Europe since the Qatari group took control of the French team. Thomas Tuchel was the closest to achieving that feat, when he led the team to a Champions League final, but ended up defeated by Bayern Munich in the final.
Luis Enrique arrives for Christophe Galtier. The French coach stayed just one season in charge of PSG and disappointed. Even with Messi, Neymar and Mbappé in the squad, the team suffered from injuries and failed to achieve a great performance in France and also in Europe. At the end of 2022/23, Paris Saint-Germain only ended up with the Ligue One title.
It is worth mentioning that Luis Enrique was coach of Roma, Celta de Vigo and also of Barcelona before taking over the Spanish national team. At the age of 53, the coach has won nine titles in his career, including winning a Champions League, a Club World Cup, another European Super Cup, as well as two La Liga titles.
