Egypt coach sacked two months after appointment

Head Coach Egypt national team Ehab Galal has been removed from his post, according to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) website.

It should be noted that the possibility of appointing a foreign coach to this position is being considered.

“I would like to thank Coach Galal, a highly respected person who has worked under difficult conditions,” said EFA board member Hazem Emam. “I want to apologize to him, but sometimes the pressure is too much, and we decided that change would be the best solution for everyone.

Galal took charge of the Egyptian national team in April. Under the guidance of the 54-year-old specialist, the team played three matches, having suffered two defeats: in the qualification for the African Cup of Nations, they lost against the Ethiopian team (0-2) and lost in a friendly match against the South Korean team (1:4).
