Reus refuses to be captain at Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marco Reus announced that in the new season he would not be the team captain.

The footballer was the captain “Borussia” over five years.

– I thought a lot and decided that they won’t wear the captain’s armband in the new season. I have already informed head coach Edin Terzic. I wore the headband with honor for five years. I’m sure a worthy candidate will be found who will become the new captain,” the team’s press service quoted Royce as saying.

Reus, 34, made 31 appearances for Dortmund in all competitions last season, scoring eight goals and providing eight assists.
