Ukrainians beat Poland in the second round and lead in group B
Ukrainian men’s beach soccer team won Poland in the match of the second round of the group stage of the qualifying tournament for World Cup 2024 – 3:2.
The blue-yellows scored one goal in each of the periods. Effective shots on account of Igor Levchenko, Andrey Borsuk and Oleg Zborovsky.
This is the second victory of the Ukrainian national team in group B. Yesterday, the wards of Mykola Kostenko and Oleksandr Korniychuk defeated Spain in overtime (4:3).
Ukraine leads Group B, two points ahead of Spain and Poland. The Blue-Yellows guaranteed themselves a place no lower than second in the standings and advanced to the playoffs for the 2024 World Cup qualification ahead of schedule.
Tomorrow, July 7, Ukraine will finish the group stage with a match against Lithuania. The start is at 13:45. In the second match of the quartet, Spain will play with Poland.
The European selection for the 2024 World Cup is being held in Baku and will end on July 9. The top two teams from each of the four groups will advance to the quarterfinals. The semi-finalists will receive direct tickets to the World Championship, which will be held from 15 to 25 February 2024 in the UAE.
