The head coach “Zenith” Sergei Semak said that the break between championship matches and the Russian Football Cup should be three days, not two.
On Thursday, the schedule for the first seven rounds of the new WORLD RPL season was released.
– Indeed, I do not know on what basis the calendar of the championship and the Cup is established. From an entertainment point of view, it is easier to play not in two days for the third, but in three days for the fourth. I think all the coaches will support me. In a situation like today, coaches are forced to prioritize and rotate the team. And the priority is always the championship,” Semak told a press conference.
Matches in the first round of the FONBET RPL path of the Russian Cup will be held from July 25 to 27. In the first round of the new RPL season, Semak team will play away with PARI NN on July 22.
