Naumov on Belykh’s appointment to Spartak: “I can’t judge what kind of leader he is, but the fact that he worked in hockey is not an obstacle”

Ex-president Lokomotiv Nikolai Naumov commenting on the appointment Sergei Belykh as Executive Director “Spartacus” said that he did not know the specialist, but the specifics and experience of working in a hockey club should not become an obstacle to working in a football team.

Spartak’s press service announced Belykh’s appointment on Friday. The 41-year-old specialist went to work at a football club in the Hockey Avangard, where he held the position of general manager.

– I don’t know Belykh, so it’s hard for me to talk about him and how he works. I only know one thing: Spartak parted ways with general manager Melezhikov in vain. I can say that he is a very well trained leader.

But the fact that Belykh worked in a hockey club, and not in a football club, I think is not an obstacle. Let’s say that Medvedev worked in hockey, and now in football. This happens often. They are sports organizations and the principles of their management are similar. Yes, of course, there are some nuances, but there are no fundamental differences. So in this regard there is no need to worry, but I cannot judge what the leader of Belykh is, Naumov stressed in a conversation with a correspondent.
