General Secretary of the Russian Football Union (RFS ) Maxim Mitrofanov said Crimean clubs will play in competitions organized by the National Football League (FNL), not the RFU.
Earlier it was reported that Yalta “Rubin” and “Sevastopol” will participate in the second league.
– The FNL-2 competitions are organized under the auspices of which organization?
—FNL.
And Ligue 1? Last year it was held under the auspices of the RFU.
– I must say that the transition to the “spring-autumn” system in Division 2B [ФНЛ‑2] would be impossible, because FIFA has a rule: all tournaments in the same competition – i.e. the Second League, the Premier League and the RPL – must be played according to the same schedule. From July to June. We cannot play in the Second Division from March to November – that would count as two different seasons.
Exceptions to this rule exist for women’s and amateur teams. They can play on their schedule. La Liga 2B is an amateur competition, it has its own organizer – FNL. And the RFU organizes the RPL, the First League and the Ligue 2A. These are official competitions.
– That is, the competitions in which Crimean clubs will participate are amateur and not held under the auspices of the RFU?
