The Federal Council, at the request of the Serie A League, approved the playoffs for the Scudetto and the rescue for the next season. This is a press release issued by the FIGC on the official website: “At the suggestion of the Serie A League, the Council approved a derogation from the definition of the playoffs for a possible assignment of the Scudetto and relegation in the Serie. B according to the following rules: in the event of a tie between two teams, the title of Champion of Italy (1st place) is awarded through play-offs held in one match at the home of the club best classified according to the criteria of a separate classification, or at the headquarters of the Cup Final Italy in the event of prohibitions from the authorities responsible for public order; in the event of a tie at the end of regular time, no extra time is played and a play-off is called directly with free throws in the manner prescribed by rules 7 and 10 of the Laws of the Game and Official Decisions.
