Athletistic/Football. The press service of the Dutch club “Heerenveen” presented a new team form for the upcoming season. The kit is made in the club’s traditional colors – blue, red and white. However, the kit designers have arranged these three colors in such a way that the players’ sleeves resemble the flag of Russia.

  • RFU general secretary says that in case of transfer to Asia, the Russian team will not be able to qualify for the World Cup

The club’s fans and followers on social media immediately drew attention to this and expressed their bewilderment:

  • “This T-shirt is really impossible, it must be changed quickly for a new one. The flag of Russia is on the sleeve.”
  • “Nice uniform, but…remove the red piping at the bottom of the sleeve. It’s unintentionally associated with the Russian flag.”
  • “Why didn’t anyone think of just changing the order of the colors on the cover… The idea is good, but the execution, unfortunately, fails.”
  • “It’s because of the sleeves that I won’t buy this uniform. Too bad everything else looks nice.”
  • “How could such a mistake be made?
  • “Maybe it was done inadvertently, but now there is a big Russian flag on the sleeve.”
  • “Russian flag on the sleeve, an interesting idea in our time!”.

Some social media users added humor recalling the sale of striker Chider Ejuka to CSKA Moscow in 2020:

  • “Are we sacrificing this for the last Ejuke millions?
  • “Russian flag on the sleeve – maybe that’s the way to get those millions for Ejuke.”
