Athletistic/ Football. Dutch Heerenveen commercial director Martin Koopman has commented on the club’s new kit, which features white, blue and red stripes on the sleeves, reminiscent of the Russian flag.
Kupman regrets that the outrageous shape has caused a flood of criticism on social media due to associations with the flag of the Russian Federation.
“I only see the sleeve in our club colors,” Koopman said as quoted by AD.
Recall that at the moment Russian clubs and national teams are suspended from tournaments under the auspices of FIFA and UEFA. The Russian national team only plays friendly matches. The last one was in March 2023.
