In the final match of the European Youth Championship England team minimally defeated the team Spain with a score of 1:0.
The only goal in the match was scored at the end of the first half. The English earned a dangerous free kick and after hitting Cole Palmer the ball rebounded from Curtis Jones flew into the goal.
After the break, the Spaniards managed to level the score, but the goal was canceled due to offside. And in injury time, the Spanish national team earned a penalty, but Abel Ruiz failed to beat James Trafford. Thus, the English team did not concede a single goal at Euro 2023.
The England national team for the third time in its history became the winner of the European Youth Championship. Previously, the British won the tournament in 1982 and 1984.
