Guardian “Neftchi” Emile Balaeva carried away on a stretcher after the PARI Premier Cup match against Serbian Red Star.
The goalkeeper of the Azerbaijani team stumbled in his penalty area and injured himself, doctors assisted the player on the pitch. Balaev was unable to continue the match, in stoppage time he was replaced by Rza Jafarov.
The match took place at the Smena Stadium in Saint Petersburg and ended 4-0 in favor of Red Star.
This year, Zenit, Neftchi, Crvena Zvezda and Fenerbahce became participants in the PARI Premier Cup. The tournament matches are held at the Gazprom Arena and Smena stadiums from July 1 to July 15. Tickets for the matches are sold on the official Zenit website. All the matches of the PARI Premier Cup tournament are broadcast live on the and MATCH PREMIER channels.
