Athletistic/Football. Roman Shirokov, a former midfielder for the Russian national team and clubs Zenit, Spartak and Krasnodar, has shared his opinion on the teams’ prospects for the new Russian Premier League season.

“There are a few teams in the new league that can compete with Zenit. These are CSKA and Spartak. Maybe Dynamo – they rely on Lichka. Also, maybe Lokomotiv, although I don’t believe in it not really.

Krasnodar has a mentality problem – they often present themselves as poor and offended, a team from the periphery. Initially, they lack self-confidence, and this has already become their characteristic feature. Therefore, they often fail at decisive moments. Unfortunately, that has always been their problem. If “Krasnodar” can change its attitude, then everything can be different. I sincerely wish them that,” RB Sport quoted Shirokov as saying.

  • Magomed-Shapi Suleimanov returned to Krasnodar
