In the 2022/2023 season, Lucas appeared in 11 matches for Bayern, in which he scored one goal. Hernandez injured his cruciate knee ligament in France’s 2022 World Cup group stage 1st round match against Australia (4-1) and missed the rest of the season.
Hernandez is the 2018 World Cup and 2020/2021 UEFA Nations League winner; in club, he won the 2019/2020 Champions League with Bayern and the 2017/2018 Europa League with Atlético Madrid.
