Ukrainian can return to coaching
Famous Ukrainian coach Andrey Shevchenko can lead the team Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It is reported that the Ukrainian is already negotiating with the local football federation and is one of the potential candidates for the post of head coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
Earlier, Faruk Hadzibegić left the post of coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina team.
Shevchenko’s last place of work was Genoa. The Ukrainian was fired from the post of head coach of the Italian team in 2022. Since then, the Ukrainian has been out of work.
Prior to Genoa, Shevchenko coached the Ukrainian national team for five years, which, under his leadership, reached the quarterfinals of Euro 2020.
The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina is fourth in group J of the selection for the European Championship 2024. In the next match of the qualifying round, the team will play against Liechtenstein on 8 September.
