Flamengo revolts with arbitration, and Sampaoli responds to Palmeiras

After complaining about an unmarked penalty, Flamengo goes to the CBF to ask for clarification, but Sampaoli did not want to focus on the controversial topic

Last Saturday, 08, the Flamengo was tied 1-1 with palm trees and left irritated with an unmarked penalty. Already in the second half, Everton Ribeiro he suffered a blow to his back and fell inside the area, but nothing was signaled by the judge. Already a day after the match, the Carioca board goes to the CBF to complain and ask for clarification about the bid.

At the press conference after the game, coach Jorge Sampaoli was asked about the bid and also about recent complaints from Palmeiras. In a mild tone and without controversy, the Argentine did not even mention the penalty claimed and said he had no reason to complain. According to him, the only problem was the pepper spray that stopped the match.

I can’t say much about it [da arbitragem]. It was a football game in which many things happened. The only thing that bothered me on the field was the pepper spray. Football gives you and takes you away. Today was a game between two good teams that will fight for many things. I enjoyed the game“, said Sampaoli.

It is worth mentioning that Flamengo was even more bothered by the recent controversies between the CBF and Palmeiras. For one more game, the São Paulo team did not give interviews in protest against the behavior against the coach Abel Ferreira. However, the dubious move in favor of Verdão was not mentioned by any alviverde member either.
