Athletistic/ Football. Now Russian Premier League teams are on summer break. They are preparing for the new season of the Russian Championship. An interesting idea came up with CSKA and Dynamo. They decided to play the Fraternal Cup, which consisted of two matches. One took place at VEB Arena on Saturday July 8 and the return took place at VTB Arena on Sunday July 9. Matches consisted of three 30-minute halves. During the first break of each game, there was a goalkeeper challenge. In the second break, a series of penalties among the fans of both teams. Winning the challenge also turned into a team goal.
On Saturday, CSKA suffered a home defeat against Dynamo with the score of 0:5. Towards the end of the first half, Yaroslav Gladyshev brought the blues and whites forward. Another goal was scored at Dynamo’s expense thanks to the victory in the goalkeeper’s challenge. Towards the end of the second half, Arsen Zakharyan made it big. In the second break, Dynamo fans proved to be stronger than CSKA fans in the penalty shootout, and therefore the score became completely devastating – 4: 0. In the third half, Andrey Mazurin set the final result of the game.
The return match was even more productive. In it, “Dynamo” also won, but with the score 6:3. At the end of the first half, Adolfo Gaich led the army forward. However, at the break, the score became even thanks to Dynamo’s victory in the goalkeeper’s challenge. In the second half, CSKA first scored 3:1 thanks to goals from Nikita Ermakov and Adolfo Gaich. But soon the blue and whites equalized thanks to a double from Vyacheslav Grulev. During the break, the Dynamo fans again dominated the red-blues in a penalty shoot-out and the score became 4:3. In the third game segment, goals from Fedor Smolov and Andrey Mazurin defined the final result of the game.
Dynamo beat CSKA 11:3 on aggregate. Thus, the Fraternal Cup went to the blues and whites. CSKA fans reacted to the results of the matches. They left their comments on official community of PFC CSKA in Vkontakte.
