Former Spartak footballer Valery Shmarov has told RB Sport that the transfer of Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez and CSKA midfielder Jesus Medina will not help the Red-Whites fight for the championship with Zenit.
– You must wait for the official confirmation first in order to give a rating to these players. But I think even taking into account Medina and Sanchez as part of Spartak, they won’t be able to compete with Zenit for the championship – the Brazilians from St. Petersburg are stronger from a distance,” Shmarov said.
On Saturday, on , CSKA head coach Vladimir Fedotov announced the transfer of midfielder Jesús Medina to Spartak. Last season, the Paraguayan as part of the army squad played 25 RPL matches and scored eight goals. Earlier, it became known that Spartak are in contact with Tottenham Hotspur regarding the transfer of defender Davinson Sanchez.
