Agreement until summer 2024
Dawn announced the extension of the lease of the defender AEKa Oleg Danchenko. The agreement is for one season.
Danchenko joined Zara on loan in January last year. In February 2023, the defender suffered a heart attack in training. The incident happened at a training camp in Turkey.
Club doctors Dawn did not allow Danchenko to train and practice in the general group. In June, he returned to the location of AEK and was supposed to go for an operation.
In the first half of the 2022/23 season, Danchenko played 17 matches for Zorya in all competitions, scoring one assist.
In the summer, Zorya extended contracts with goalkeeper Alexander Saputin, defender Bogdan Butko and midfielder Vyacheslav Churko. The Luhansk club also signed midfielder Ivan Golovkin and forward Vladislav Bugay.
Zorya finished third in the Ukrainian Championship and will play in the Europa League qualification. In the new season, the team will be led by Serb Nenad Lalatovic.
