Additionally, the ex-president of Juventus must pay a fine of 60 thousand euros
Ex-president Juventus Andrea Agnelli was suspended for 16 months for fraud with the salaries of football players, agreements with agents and other intermediaries. The functionary is also obliged to pay an additional fine of 60 thousand euros.
Agnelli was previously banned from football for two years for violating Juventus’ financial fair play. Together with the president, the former vice-president Pavel Nedved and other functionaries were punished. The new trial concerned the contracts of several football players and financial fraud in them.
Recall that in the first case, Juventus was fined 15 points in the Italian championship. Later, Turintsy filed an appeal, but the subsequent meeting granted another request from the prosecutor’s office and the club was deprived of 10 points.
Juventus finished seventh in Serie A. In the first round of the new season, the Bianconeri will play Udinese on 20 August.
