Foggia, Severo: “Lecco presented the documents at the wrong time”

On the sidelines of President Nicola Canonico’s press conference, Foggia’s general secretary, Giuseppe Severo, also spoke, explaining in detail the timing and documentation that needs to be prepared for Serie B registration: “On June 1 at 5:30 pm we received an email from Liga B asking us to prepare the paperwork for registration at B. We did it, I guess Cesena and Pescara also did it and I assumed they did Lecco as well. June 15th and 20th are mandatory deadlines for both B and C and the submission of the required documentation cannot be ignored. The foundations are the infamous Tulpas, a valid recreational license, a field concession, and an opinion from the Entertainment Supervisory Commission certifying the correctness of safety regulations. We submitted five documents in B and the same number in C. On the 20th we finished the documentation for C for the 15th, and on the 18th I already had a pen with all the documentation for B ready. Apparently the Lecco colleagues were unable to provide this documentation. From the 1st to the 15th day there were 14 days, plus five more until the 20th. No documentation was provided. This is why the Infrastructure Criteria Commission states that the aforementioned official press release stipulates that all obligations set out in the aforementioned Article 2 must be fulfilled within the imperative deadline of 20 June, underlined and in bold. The Commission itself, in its opinion of 6 July, asserts the exact opposite and says that this behavior cannot be blamed on Lecco, since the time frame was not sufficient for the preparation of documentation. This means that peremptoryness no longer exists.”
