This Monday, the 10th, Carlos Alcaraz entered the court for the round of 16 of Wimbledonfacing Matteo Berrettini. Winning by 3 sets to 1, even losing the first one, the Spaniard turned the match around and secured a place in the quarterfinals, with partials 3/6, 6/3, 6/3 and 6/3.

The first set of the match was marked by a good victory by Matteo Berrettini, who applied a 6/3 in the partial. Thus, the Italian started the second set with high morale, as he managed to imply difficulty in the Alcaraz match. However, the Spaniard did not take long to react and, returning the score of the initial partial, and leaving everything the same.

In the third set, Alcaraz was warmer and managed to set a faster pace in the match, reducing Berrettini’s chances of growing in the partial. Thus, once again by 6/3, the Spanish jewel won and, for the first time in the match, was ahead on the overall score, putting a lot of pressure on for the fourth set.

After three well-disputed sets, the fourth would not be different. Thus, Berrettini, who already beat Alcaraz last year in the Australian Open, had a tough fight until the sixth game, but the Spaniard managed to stand out. With that, the number 1 in the world closed the victory with a golden key, once again by 6/3.
