“Spartak” was not informed of the decisions of the sports courts on Promes, nothing prevents him from preparing for the season “- Zelenov

Head of the press department “Spartacus” Dmitry Zelenov qualified reports that the Dutch striker Quincy Promes has been suspended from participation in sports competitions.

Previously, the 31-year-old footballer’s profile on Transfermarkt was marked with a ban from all competitions, referring to an unknown sports tribunal’s verdict on June 19, 2023.

– We have not been informed of any decision of the sports courts on Promes. We believe there is an error on the portal that posted this. There’s nothing stopping Quincy from preparing for the season, Zelenov told reporters.

In June, an Amsterdam court sentenced Promes to 18 months in prison and 7,000 euros in damages for attacking a cousin.

Promes has been recognized as the best player of the 2022/23 season at Spartak according to fans. The 31-year-old has made 37 appearances in all competitions this term, scoring 25 goals and providing 10 assists.

In the first round of the WORLD RPL, the Moscow club will host Orenburg on July 23.
