Athletistic/ Football. The past season has turned out to be quite successful for CSKA. The army team managed to take second place in the Russian football championship and win the country’s Cup. Paraguayan defender Jesús Medina played a major role in the success of the reds and blues. Many assumed that he would continue playing for the red-blues or move on to a foreign league. However, the player’s decision surprised many. He moved into the camp of a direct competitor of the reds and blues, namely “Spartacus”. The transfer amount was around seven million euros. At the same time, the midfielder signed a contract with the red and white until the summer of 2026.
Jesus Medina started his career in his native country. He played for the club “Libertad”. He became three times champion of Paraguay. In 2012 and 2014 the Medina team won the Clausara (the second part of the national championship), and in 2014 the Apertura was also won (the first part of the national championship.
From 2018 to 2021, Jesus Medina played in MLS for New York. In this team, the Paraguayan managed to become the MLS champion in 2021. After that, in the winter of 2022, Jesus Medina became a CSKA player. In the 2021/2022 season, the army team took only fifth place in the RPL and reached the quarterfinals of the Russian Cup. The following season turned out to be more successful – second place in the RPL and victory in the Russian Cup.
Now Jesús Medina has moved to Spartak Moscow. Many red and white supporters reacted to this transfer. They left their comments on the official community of “Spartacus” in Vkontakte.
Alexei Zverev:
– I don’t know how everyone is, but I won’t accept him after his words, until he comes to the horse podium in a match with horses and kisses a rhombus!!! !
Pavel Epifanov:
– A mediocre player, a very strange transfer.
Valera Suvorov:
– You’ll see, it will open even more, screenshot.
Max Volodin:
– What they have in mind is a horse.
Vladimir Sanich:
– If the horses score all at once, everything will pay off!
Sergei Dudorov:
– And where is the photo of how Medina scatters the banknotes and shows a heart? Well, a strange transfer, of course, I don’t like it when players from important clubs are transferred… Well, good luck in any case.
