Alexandria is preparing for the new season
Director Alexandria Dmitry Kitaev commented on the work on the transfer market before the start of the 2023/24 UPL season.
“In every championship we work on getting into the European cups. Before the start of the season, there will be a meeting of the president with the coaching staff and the team, the task will be discussed more specifically. But fighting for the highest possible place is our priority.”
“Arthur Avagimyan returned from Chernomorets, now he is training with the team. Kirill Sigeev is with us. Questions about them and other players are in the working stage. All UPL teams are currently training, and later the final agreement for each player will be seen.”
Sigeev played 15 matches for Alexandria last season (two goals and one assist). He plays for the club on loan from Shakhtar. Avagimyan played 20 games in Chernomorets, giving two assists.
Earlier, Alexandria signed a full-fledged contract with defender Sergei Loginov. The club also extended the agreement with goalkeeper Nikita Shevchenko.
Winger Anton Baidal and midfielder Rodion Plaksa can join Ruslan Rotan’s team. According to Sport Arena, Oleksandriya is watching Ingulets defender Artem Smolyakov.
Last season, Oleksandriya finished sixth in the UPL and were left without European cups. The base date for the start of the new season of the Ukrainian Championship is July 29.
