Chairman of the board of directors of the football club “Zenith” Alexander Medvedev reported that the defender Mario Fernandez undergoes a medical examination to join the Saint Petersburg team.
Previous outlets have reported that 32-year-old Fernandez is set to move to Zenit. According to , the team’s head coach Sergey Semak personally wanted to see Mario in the team.
“Mario undergoes a medical examination,” reports a correspondent, Medvedev’s words.
Fernandez played for CSKA Moscow from 2012 to 2022. As part of the army club, the defender played 329 games, scored 11 goals, became a three-time national champion, owner of the Cup and three-time Supercup of Russia.
