RPL President Alexander Alaev, commenting on the results of the general meeting of clubs of the Russian Premier League (RPL), said that the council formed will allow the league to take important decisions more quickly.
The Board of Directors included RPL Chairman Alexander Alaev, RPL Executive Director Sergey Cheban, Deputy Chairman and CEO of Akhmat Akhmed Aidamirov, CSKA CEO Roman Babaev, Urals President Grigory Ivanov, Dynamo CEO Pavel Pivovarov and Zenit’s executive director Maxim Pogorelov. Board members were elected for a one-year term.
– I want to congratulate everyone for the return of the RPL. We discussed the league’s preparation for the new season. A council has been formed, it will allow the league to take important decisions more quickly. The general assembly of the RPL has decided on the remuneration system for referees for the 2022-2026 seasons.
– So that there are no discrepancies concerning the remuneration of judges. A year ago, a system was adopted to increase the remuneration of judges. For technical reasons, delegates and reserve judges have not been indicated. We took into account all the changes, the clubs supported it. That is, the decision a year ago to change the payment has been tightened in terms of technical nuances,” Alaev added.
