Valery Gazzaev didn’t deserve bad attitude from Alania fans, says Zaurbek Pliev

Former Alania footballer Zaurbek Pliev said he didn’t think Valeria Gazzaev and guilty that the Vladikavkaz club ran into financial difficulties.

Pliev played for the Red-Yellow from 2011 to 2013. Gazzaev during this period was the president of the club and also coached the team from November 2012 to June 2013. Alania then encountered financial problems, the club was then declared bankrupt and liquidated.

– If we talk about the fans, then the attitude towards him is not the best. Many people think that Gazzaev ruined the team. They are therefore not happy with his arrival.

To date we are on good terms, we communicate. The man trusted me, called me to the team. I probably know more about his situation. But in the end, everyone is angry with him, unfortunately. But it’s not. It’s my point of view. The opinion of a player who knows the whole situation from the inside,” Pliev said on the “Third Half” program on the MATCH PREMIER channel.

Alania, following the results of the 2022/23 season, took third place in the MELBET First League.
