The Court of Appeal left Pavelko in custody until August 14

The judges rejected the appeal of the lawyers of the head of the UAF

Lviv Court of Appeal dismissed the lawyers’ appeal Andrey Pavelko. The functionary will remain in custody until August 14 inclusive.

In mid-June, the Shevchenkovsky District Court of Lviv placed Pavelko in a pre-trial detention center for 60 days. A pledge of 9.88 million hryvnia, which was previously paid for the head of the UAF, was transferred to the state.

Earlier, the Pechersk Court extended the investigation into the case of Pavelko and UAF Secretary General Yury Zapisotsky until November 23, 2023. At the same time, the Shevchenkovsky Court of Lviv did not extend the decision to remove Andriy Pavelko from the post of UAF president after July 9.

The UAF considers the entire process to be commissioned work from the former leaders of the association. In 2018, the Schemes program conducted an investigation, as a result of which journalists suspected the UAF and its president Andriy Pavelko of corruption through a factory for the production of artificial fields.
