With negotiations finalized, Corinthians officially signed midfielder Matías Rojas, formerly of Racing; player already has prediction of debut for Timão
O Corinthians announced this Tuesday, 11, the signing of the attacking midfielder Matías Rojas, 27 years old. The Paraguayan ended his five-year spell at racingfrom Argentina, arrives at Timão with a contract until June 2026.
The midfielder does not play in tonight’s duel against University of Perufor the Copa Sudamericana, but will be available to debut with Timão’s shirt next Saturday, the 15th, against America-MG, for the return of the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil, at Neo Química Arena. Rojas is already published in the CBF’s Daily Newsletter (BID).
To acquire 80% of the economic rights of the Paraguayan, Corinthians disbursed 1.8 million dollars (about R$ 8.6 million) between fees and commissions. O Botafogo was one of the clubs interested in the attacking midfielder.

In Brazil since the 1st of July, Rojas traveled with the Corinthians squad in the two matches that the team played in Minas Gerais, but was unable to play due to the lack of registration with the BID. The midfielder already trains with the group at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava.
