Athletistic/Football. A young and promising Crvena Zvezda centre-back, Strahinja Eraković, has turned down a transfer to Krasnodar, but his future could still be with Russia. Interest in the player showed Moscow “Spartak” and St. Petersburg “Zenith”, according to the publication “Sports Magazine”.

According to the magazine, Zenit has been following the development of Crvena graduate Zvezda for a long time, and reports have recently emerged about Spartak’s interest in the defender. The Serbian club are hoping to get more money for Erakovic than for Marko Grujic, who left for Liverpool for €6m.

Last year, Red Star Zvezda refused an offer of 6 million euros for Eraković (plus 50% of the next transfer). Then neither the club nor the player himself wanted to end their relationship. Erakovic is keen on playing in Western Europe but understands that financially lucrative offers can only come from Russia and apparently he is ready to continue his career in the RPL.
