A total of 440 football clubs from around the world received a grant from FIFA to loan their players to their national teams participating in the final tournament of the World Cup in Qatar, totaling US$209 million. This is the share of FIFA’s income from the organization of the tournament. The 27 Italian clubs between Serie A and Serie B received compensation, raising a total of $18.6 million (€16,684,701.28), more than 11% of what was received by UEFA affiliates.
