The Gunners paid more than 40 million euros for the Dutch international
Arsenal announced the signing of a long-term contract with the defender Ajax by Yurien Timber.
It was reported that Timber would sign a five-year contract with the Gunners. The salary of the 22-year-old center back will be 8 million euros per season.
According to information journalist Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal paid Ajax for Timber 40 million euros. Another five million are written in the form of bonuses.
Timber scored two goals and provided two assists in 47 appearances for Ajax in all competitions last season. Also on account of the defender 15 fights for the Netherlands national team.
In June, Arsenal signed Chelsea striker Kai Havertz. The Gunners are also close to signing West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
Arsenal kick off the new season on 6 August with an FA Super Cup match against Manchester City. The Ukrainian defender Oleksandr Zinchenko plays for the Gunners.
