The functionary will be in custody until September 13
Shevchenko district court of the city of Lviv changed the measure of restraint for the Secretary General of the Ukrainian Football Association Yuri Zapisotsky in the case of embezzlement of funds for the construction of a factory for the production of artificial grass for football fields.
The court concluded Zapisotsky SIZO for 60 days – until September 13 inclusive. A pledge of 9.88 million hryvnia, which was paid in November for the UAF Secretary General, was transferred to the state.
In mid-June, the Shevchenkovsky District Court of Lviv sent UAF President Andrei Pavelko to jail. The functionary must be in custody until August 14 inclusive.
Earlier, the Kiev Pechersk Court extended the investigation period in the case of Pavelko and Zapisotsky until November 23, 2023. At the same time, the Shevchenkovsky court of Lviv did not extend the removal of Pavelko from the post of president of the UAF.
The UAF considers the entire process to be commissioned work from the former leaders of the association. In 2018, the Schemes program conducted an investigation, as a result of which journalists suspected the UAF and its president Andriy Pavelko of corruption through a factory for the production of artificial fields.
