Athletistic/ Football. RFU General Secretary Maxim Mitrofanov explained whether a friendly match between the national teams of Russia and Brazil in football will take place.
“We used to negotiate with them, but at the moment – no. At the same time, now we are looking for an opponent not only for September, but also for October, November and March,” Mitrofanov told SE.
On September 12, the Russian team is due to play a friendly match with Qatar in Doha. Valery Karpin’s side played their last friendlies in March 2023.
Russian clubs and national teams have been suspended from tournaments under the auspices of FIFA and UEFA.
