Forward Dnepr-1 is estimated at 12-15 million euros
Girona leaves no attempts to sign a forward SC Dnipro-1 Artem Dovbik. The Spanish club intends to use the financial support of City Football Group to transfer the Ukrainian, according to journalist Neil Sola.
According to the journalist Ivan KyrosGirona planned to sign Dovbik at a reduced price as his contract expired in December 2023. However, Artem extended the agreement with SC Dnepr-1 until the summer of 2025, and now the forward is estimated at 12-15 million euros. Girona cannot pay this amount on its own.
Earlier it was reported that Girona offered 5-7.5 million euros for Dovbik and is ready to take on the obligation to pay off Midtjylland, who claims 50% of the forward’s sale amount.
Last season, the forward played 39 matches in all competitions for Dnepr-1, in which he scored 29 goals and provided 8 assists. Dovbik became the top scorer of the last UPL draw.
In addition to Girona, the City Football Group network includes Manchester City, New York City (USA), Melbourne City (Australia), Montevideo City (Uruguay), Troyes (France), Palermo (Italy) and a number of other clubs.
Girona ended the season in tenth place in La Liga. Ukrainian midfielder Viktor Tsygankov plays for the Spanish team.
On July 25, Dnipro-1 will play the first match of the second qualifying round of the Champions League against Panathinaikos. The return match will take place on 1 August.
