Zavatskaya, Bindl and Snigur recognized their rivals in Wimbledon qualification

The main draw of the event starts on June 27

Three Ukrainian tennis players – Katharina Zawatskaya, Katerina Beindl and Daria Snigur — learned the names of opponents in the first round of qualification Wimbledon.

Zawatskaya starts the qualifying round with a match against British representative Rana Akua Stoiber. Snigur will fight Maria Carle from Argentina. Bindl will start Wimbledon against Susan Lamens of the Netherlands.

In the application of the main draw of the upcoming Wimbledon, there are four Ukrainians – Angelina Kalinina, Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremska and Lesya Tsurenko.

The main part of Wimbledon starts on June 27th. Russian and Belarusian tennis players were not allowed to compete because of their countries’ full-scale invasion of Ukraine. In addition, ATP, WTA and ITF will not award ranking points for performance in the tournament.

The total prize fund of the tournament this year will be a record 40.35 million pounds. The men’s and women’s singles champions will each receive £2 million. Finalists will receive more than a million.
