According to information from the Mutko vs Telegram channel, Brazilian midfielder Zenit Wendel, who has not yet joined the team, has expressed a desire to leave the Saint Petersburg club. The footballer described the atmosphere in the team as “terrifying” and also did not like the “threats and orders” from the management, which he said were aimed at many players and employees.
On July 15, it became known that Wendel was not included in Zenit’s bid for participation in the RPL for the 2023/2024 season. Despite the transfer window allowing additional players, all blue-white-blue players currently in the squad clip are already included in the app.
It was previously announced that Wendel was cleared to search for a new team. His contract with Zenit is concluded until the summer of 2027. The player is currently in Brazil and it is not yet known when he will join the Bleu-Blanc-Bleu.
