“We are delighted that the greatest footballer in the world has accepted the choice in favor of Inter Miami and MLS. It confirms that the league is on the rise, just like the sport itself in North America.
We have no doubt that Lionel will show the world that this league can be the choice of the best football players in the world,” Garber told Inter Miami’s press office.
Messi previously left PSG, for whom he has been playing since 2021. In 75 appearances for the team, he has scored 32 goals and made 35 assists. Before that, Lionel defended the colors of Barcelona, with which he won the Spanish championship ten times and the Champions League four times.
