The striker extended the contract with Dnipro-1 so that the club could earn on the transfer
Head coach Dnepr-1 Oleksandr Kucher commented on the interest in the striker Artyom Dovbik from European clubs.
“Artem is a decent guy, and it is clear that he would like to play somewhere in Europe. However, at the same time, he understands that this club has done a lot for him. Therefore, he extended the agreement with Dnepr-1. As long as he is with us, what will happen next – whether to sell Dovbik or keep it – will be decided by the club’s management.
“Both players, Dovbik and Oleksandr Pikhalyonok, who are of interest to other clubs, are very decent and able-bodied. They do not respond to any extraneous factors. In training, the same Dovbik and Pikhalyonok are completely devoted to work, they have no laziness. Everyone conscientiously fulfills his professional duties.
Dovbik extended the contract with Dnepr-1 until the summer of 2025. The new agreement has improved the ability of Dnipro to make money on the player’s transfer. The management of Dnipro-1 expects to sell the player for at least 15 million euros.
Last season, the forward played 39 matches in all competitions for Dnepr-1, in which he scored 29 goals and provided 8 assists. Dovbik became the top scorer of the last UPL draw.
On July 25, Dnipro-1 will play the first match of the second qualifying round of the Champions League against Panathinaikos. The return match will take place on 1 August.
